Occupancy

A maximum persons occupancy will be strictly adhered to or a double occupancy penalty per night per person will be charged to the final bill. The maximums are:

Both units: 12
Dreamview Lodge: 8
Glass Suite: 2 adults + 2 children

Smoking

There is strictly no smoking inside the premises. Ashtrays are provided outside on the deck. Penalty for smoking: R1,000.

Strict Pets Policy

Pets are allowed by prior arrangement only at a non-refundable pet fee of R500 per pet. Your pets must be dog, cat and kid friendly and must be pre-approved prior to check-in (there are 2 resident dogs and 1 cat — very socialised and friendly).

Your pet(s) MUST be trained to pee and poop outside. They are not allowed to sleep on the furniture. Please bring pet beds. An additional cleaning fee will be charged for pet hair or stains.

Your pet(s) MUST accompany you whenever you leave the premises and may not be left behind unsupervised at the accommodation.

Penalty for pets without approval: R1,000.

Jacuzzi

Please shower before entering the Jacuzzi. If both units are booked separately, the Jacuzzi and deck are shared.

Noise Rules

Please beware of noise levels when playing music, especially the base which can be turned down on the system. No loud music after 10pm, please.

⁠No independent sound systems are allowed!

Please keep noise down after 10pm outside or move inside, close doors and keep noise levels down so that you can only be heard inside the house. Strictly no loud parties.

A penalty of R1,000 is applicable for each of the above breaches.

Trash

Trash must be put out in a black tied trash bag. Please take bag to the gate on Thursdays. All the rest of the days in the week, please take trash with you and deposit at the entrance to Pringle Bay on the right hand side of the road. You are responsible to remove your own trash or there shall be a minimum penalty of R500 for all trash left on the property.

Please do not flush any nappies, women’s hygiene products, chemicals or any other man made products, except toilet paper, down the toilet. This is a nature reserve and we still use a septic tank system, which affects the surrounding environment. Please use the special bins provided in the toilets for tampons, nappies etc. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.

Damages

The property must be left in the same condition it was found In, other than dirty linen and towels. Any damages will be deducted from your security deposit. Please report any damages to us straight away.

There will be a check-out inspection on Monday mornings normally at 8.00am or some cases immediately after your stay. Please hand over all keys and remotes to our representative before your leave. Lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from the security deposit.

The following breakage deposits are required before arrival, which is fully refundable after check out if there are no issues during your stay:

Both units: R5,000
Dreamview Lodge: R4,000
Glass Suite: R2,500

Fires

The wood fire braai may only be used if there is no severe wind because of the risk of fire. Please check with us to see if there might be a problem. There is a gas braai that can be used if the wind is too severe. If a moderate wind is blowing, then please close the sliding doors while the fire is happening to prevent the smell of fire in the house. If both units are booked separately, the braai, deck and Jacuzzi are shared.

One bag of wood is included in your stay. Additional bags at R55 each.

Safety

Please be aware that there is an electric fence around the house. Do not touch!

There are baboons roaming in the area. Please keep the windows closed when you are not physically present on the property — just in case an opportunistic baboon inspects and enters the property while you are away. Thank you for your understanding.

Rates & Payments

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express card payments at the premises via Payfast by Network, the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. Payfast by Network uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3). Click here to view their security certificate and security policy.

High Season bookings are non refundable. High season dates are 1 December to 12 January and Easter (dates vary each year).

The rates of all booking agencies — for example Booking.com, Lekkeslaap, Airbnb, and more — are higher due to each respective agency’s fees, commissions and taxes.

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa, and the transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Breakage deposits will be refunded within 24-48 business hours after check out, unless there are damages to asses.

Any other refunds, if applicable, will be settled within 30 days after check out.

We are governed by the laws of South Africa and Dreamview Rental chooses as our domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature: 296 High Level Road, Pringle Bay 7196, South Africa.

We may, in our sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

Agreement

When you pay your deposit you are hereby agreeing to the above terms and conditions. If there is anything that we can do to make your stay more comfortable, please do not hesitate to ask.
